Inside You
Inside you, I see a world that's new Inside you, I see nothing but the truth Walking on the beach, looking at the stars My thoughts are always where you are, but you're not here Many thoughts are running through my head I wish I were with you instead, whispering in your ear. My travels take me around the world, Places I know you've never been, and never will But I know you're waiting at home, Imagining that you see what I've seen, like some magic pill Inside you, I see a world that's new Inside you, I see nothing but the truth People running 'round, too busy to care. Racing to their jobs, their shrinks, the mall, trying to beat the storm Never stopping to breathe, or come up for air Struggling against the tide, struggling against it all, as if that's the norm. Sometimes the world can seem so small Cell phones, pagers we've got them all, and we feel so cool Then I realize that what we perceives not real It's not what you've got, but how you feel...or am I a fool? Inside you, I see a world that's new Inside you, I see nothing but the truth Is it too hard to stop and think about what's reality? Before Life passes us by, and we reach finality? Sometimes it takes a whole new perspective To prioritize our lives, become introspective to look inside you. Inside you, I see a world that's new Inside you, I see nothing but the truth Inside you, I see a world that's new Inside you, I see nothing but the truth Inside you, I see a world that's new Inside you, I see nothing but the truth |
