NEWSLETTER #82

Ah yes, the Holidays. That hectic time of year where you go from party to party, shop till you drop, and eventually get to where you'll slap the next overweight, former bum now dressed as Santa, you see. Not to mention the 10,000 times you've heard "Feliz Navidad", perhaps the most annoying holiday song EVER!

So, while you're pondering what gift to give annoying Aunt Gertrude (may I suggest a Jello mold?) and wondering what those sexy boys from Wonderground have been up to, don't dismay. We give you not one, but TWO chances to see Wonderground this holiday season and inject a little sanity (or insanity) into your life.

Now, the gory details. Wonderground is live at Sharkey's (Innsbrook) tomorrow night, Friday, Dec. 10th from 9:30 till 12:30. Rumor is that a famous doctor (John?, Love?) will be sitting in with the boys, so don't miss this show! Then on Saturday night, Wonderground will be playing along with 2 other bands (Jackson Cage and the Fugawis) at Shenanigan's. We'll be on around 8:30, so those of you who have early bedtimes can make the show and still be bright and cheerful at Church, Temple, Mosque, or brunch on Sunday. This is a benefit for the Central Va. Food Bank, so bring a $5 donation (required) and canned goods (optional but appreciated).

2005 promises to be a busy year for the band as we hope to release our second album, and have already booked several shows including Jan. 8th at SinE's. Surf to www.wonderground.net for more details, and check out the new website design (thanks Paul!) including MP3's! For those of you who've been fans for years, click on the history page.

So, come one, come all this weekend and if you've been nice, we'll put in a good word to Santa for you. If you've been naughty, we'll hook you up with Bill.

Peace.
