NEWSLETTER #66

Summer... time for cookouts, thunderstorms, golf outings, downpours, surfing, dodging hail stones. Wading through mud, mopping up basements, fighting off mosquitos the size of small dogs. Yes, it's a magical time of the year. However, we at Wonderground have decided that it's time for drastic measures. We've decided that only one thing can stop the monsoon season....

And, what may that be? It's the 2003 ANTI-RAIN DANCE! We're wet, moldy, and sick of wishing we lived somewhere dryer, like Seattle! We don't care if it reminds Paul of home. We've had enough.

So, put on your rain coats, galoshes, and Gore-tex thongs, and come to SinE Irish Pub next Friday, June 20th so we can end this crap! Only by following the age-old Irish tradition of drinking heavily and dancing like rabbits on speed can we collectively stop Mother Nature from ruining our Summer. The show starts around 9:00, so you can still groove to Groove Spot at Friday Cheers. But, of course it will be raining, and Brown's Island will only be a rock in the rushing James River. Your choice. The Anti-rain dance is free, and we promise the only puddles at SinE will be in the bathrooms, or next to sweaty Billy.

P.S. Remember last year when you were praying for rain? Y'all overdid it, just a bit.
