NEWSLETTER #62 Spring is in the air. The grass is green, the birds are chirpping, and it freaking won't stop raining! But, at least the prognosis for this weekend is promising for two reasons. One, it's time for the Strawberry Hill tent sale, I mean horse races. Second, the boys are back! That's right, Wonderground has returned from its stint on the "physically unable to perform" list to kick off Stawberry Hill weekend in style. The pre-race party starts this Friday night, April 11th, at 9pm. And, best of all, it's free! The theme for Strawberry Hill this year is "Texas Style", so feel free to try out your outfit Friday night. Oh, yeah, no jokes about Paul not being able to perform. He's kind of sensitive about that. Rest assured that he's now back to peak form. Thank you Viagra! If you still have the energy, we'll see you at the races on Saturday. Now, on a sad note, Wonderground is mourning the loss of one of Richmond's most influential bachelors, Jason Morris. Made famous in the DaDa song "Dizz Knee Land", Jason had his bachelor reign celebrated this past weekend, proving that Jamey can't hang no more, but his Dad can. Sleep, I need sleep! 4/7/2003 |
